Orffa is a (Dutch based) global operating company with a leading positing in feed additives in animal nutrition.
Position
The Global Supply Chain Manager contributes to and supports the development of Orffa globally with efficient, creative and innovative logistic processes and is accountable for the optimization and constant improvement of customer service, logistic administration and toll production.
Therefore, this position needs to maintain a close interaction with all internal stakeholders. In all matters of importance, the Global Supply Chain Manager reports to the CFO (Board member) and is furthermore responsible for the Logistics team, which consists of appr. 10-15 people.
Responsibilities:
- Accountable for the Logistics department, overseeing the lifecycle of the products, shipping documentation and insurance claims.
- Driving continuous improvement in all activities, ensuring operational excellence.
- Responsible for streamlining the production process by optimizing the S&OP and
- forecasting, working closely with the Regional Managers and Commercial Managers
- Experience in demand and supply
- Experience with toll manufacturing is essential
- Geographic fine-tuning of inbound and outbound logistics, including inventory
- Accountable for an efficient and smooth labelling and packaging process.
- Initiate and implement process improvements and new logistic concepts.
- Safeguard and improve logistic service in terms of people, quality, costs, communication and automation in a constantly evolving environment.
- Continuous focus on cost
- Pro-actively Identify (recurring) problems, formulate and initiate solutions and
- improvement proposals.
- Establishing and developing relations with senior management, internal stakeholders and external partners such as but not limited to logistic service providers.
- Adhere to company, federal, state, and local business requirements, enforcing compliance and taking action when necessary.
Professional experience
- appr >10 years ((international) experience in similar roles
- Excellent organizational and leadership ability
- Commercially inclined, entrepreneurial of nature
- International (shipment) experience
- Problem-solving, hands-on and pro-active attitude
- Analytical mindset with outstanding communication skills
