Key Account Manager South East Asia
Team player with a strong commercial drive
Do you have a background in sales or functional ingredients with a strong commercial drive? Do you want to work in a dynamic, international environment where sustainability is in our DNA? As a Key Account Manager you are part of the commercial team, you work closely together with our Agro & Purchase -and Product Development department providing technological and application-oriented support to customers. You are responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with key clients and driving sales within the food market. This role focuses on expanding market share in Asia (China, India, Korea, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, Vietnam)
As a Key Account Manager South East Asia you are part of the commercial team and you will report to the Teamlead Sales . You work closely together with our Agro & Purchase -and Product Development department to find the right products which answers the customer’s needs. You are responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with key clients and driving sales within the food market. This role focuses on expanding market share in Asia.
Your role
You will build and maintain our relationships with (key) accounts, realizing margin growth.Our client segment varies from beverage to diaries and savory business.
You manage the sales budget for your customers, create account plans and take care that forecasting is up to date to enable our factories to run their operations efficiently.
You will be responsible for securing new accounts by market research in collaboration with business intelligence and a close collaboration with Döhler Asia ( Thailand)
You preferably have built a nice first experience as a Key Account Manager in the Asian Market.
You have a thorough knowledge of international export
You will negotiate prices, payment terms, contracts and other sales conditions.
You work closely together with our product development team to initiate and coordinate test phases and application research and write content for new applications.
You organise proactive meetings for our customers with a focus on innovation.
You will report to the Sales Team Lead Asia.

MS / BSc degree in relevant direction
Outstanding knowledge of the food – Asian market
Thorough knowledge of international export
Commercial and customer oriented
Proven track record in setting up new business and demonstrated success
Entrepreneurial skills – hunter profile
Good project management skills
Result and action driven
Strong communication skills
Good analytical skills and anticipating abilities (market, products)
Excellent spoken and written Dutch & English;
Ability to work independently
Willing to travel (up to 25%) – 4/5 times a year for 7/10 days weekends included
